Have you been missing the fun?

Family Auction Center has been a part of the O'Fallon, Missouri area for over 28 years. People have been coming back to our auctions week after week for years. The thrill of finding the exact item they've been looking for or the unexpected diamond-in-the-rough, along with hanging out with friends and enjoying a great meal makes for an entertaining evening.

At Family Auction Center, we sell virtually everything. We receive items on consignment almost daily, along with liquidation items, collections, antiques, furniture, guns, vehicles, equipment, brand-new items, used items, and hard-to-find items along with a ton of normal everyday items. Come back every week and you'll always find a fresh supply of different items.

More than an auction house!

Going to the auction is a great family outing. With our  home-style cooked meals and full snack bar, you can come early (doors open at 4pm) and enjoy good food and fellowship before the fun begins. So grab a friend or bring the family and make Family Auction Center your new weekly outing destination.

We have auctions every Saturday at 5:30pm (doors open at 4pm)  Check our event calendar for details and photos of each auction event.

Tips for the savvy bidder:

  • Arrive early and allow time for inspection. Look closely at items you are interested in, noting the details.
  • Listen and learn from other people in attendance. Is the merchandise what you think?
  • Register for a bid number. Be prepared to show your license or ID to get your number. Keep control of the bid number; you are responsible to pay for items bought on that number. Can't make the sale you can call in a bid. Just let us know how much you want to start the bid and how high you want to go for the item.
  • Before the sale, talk to the auctioneer or workers, ask questions, let them know your interests. They are there to help you.
  • Do not rearrange items on tables or items in box lots. Sometimes the items may belong to different sellers.
  • Inspect the items closely that you are interested in bidding on. It helps to set a price in your mind that you are willing to pay. It may be worth more to another bidder.
  • Look after the items you buy if they are handed to you. In some cases they are put in a restricted area and must be paid for before you can pick them up. You are responsible for the items after they are sold to you.
  • Don't think that a wink or scratch will be taken for a bid. Wave your bid number to get the auctioneer's attention, then you can shake your head to indicate that you want to bid again.
  • Buying at auctions is an oral contract. This means you agree to pay for the items you won. When the auctioneer announces your number as the buyer and you do not disagree, you are bound by contract to pay for the item. Be sure to pay the cashier before you leave the auction site.
